Night show will be conducted for the first time since the olden day.

The Trundle Show was entered in the Country Energy Bush Spirit Award. "This award recognises communities which have faced or are facing difficult times. Award contenders are communities which show strong commitment to their towns through positive actions and creative endeavours"

99TH SHOW A SUCCESS |
 | This years show was a great success with a wonderful day and lots to see and do.
Record entries in the Championship Dog Show, Poultry Section, Cattle and Sheep Dog Trials. There was also increased entries in the pavilion in particularly in the Homemades and Junior Cook and Fine Arts Section.
The Fine Arts Sectionhad the inclusion of a Keggo and K'nex construction which proved popular. Still seaching for more artists to compete in the 100th Show next year to compliment those from Forbes, Trundle and Bogan Gate who entered this year.

The Trundle Pastoral and Agricultural Society was born in 1906 at a meeting to discuss the organisation of an annual sports day. It was decided to hold a Show in July of that year. The committee elected to organise Trundle’s first Show was.
President: T.P. Quade
Secretary: C. J. Medcalf but due to a broken leg he handed over his position to Lindsay Todd
Treasurer: B. Boon and later taken over by K.W. McKay
Vice President: Hilary Allez
The organising committee was so successful that the show became an annual event.
The goal of having a permanent how for the show was achieved in 1911 when 10 acres of Crown Reserve Land was gazetted as the Trundle Showground. A further 20 acres was added to the showground in 1931. The first trustee’s of the Showground were Messrs Spence, Gault and Allez.
The first show at the new showground was on 9th and 10th August 1911. The success of the show can be seen with a special train from Parkes on both days of the show. The attendance at the show was 1660 people.
Show week in 1914 consisted of the show on Tuesday and Wednesday, races on Thursday and tennis on Friday. From Tuesday to Saturday night the Catholic Bazaar was held in the William Todd and Sons building in the main street (were Campbell’s Garage now stands)
